Creating Partial ASD Geometries

When an ASD record is located partially (the Whole Road toggle is set to No), then you have the following options:

  • To create the geometry as a path (clicking along the street to create a path)
  • To create the geometry as a free-hand line (i.e. digitize)
  • To create the geometry as a free-hand polygon (i.e. digitize)
  • To create the geometry as a free-hand point (i.e. digitize)

When the Whole Road toggle is set to No an embedded map is displayed. You can select a drawing tool from the submenu when you click the Edit button.

If you choose the Create Path option you can place points along a street to create a path for the record. Double-click to complete the path. Click Create in the Create Type XX Data to create the partial street record.

If you choose Create Line or Create Polygon you can draw the line or polygon freehand. For lines and polygons, double-click to finish drawing.

Note: Polygons need to be drawn in a counter-clockwise direction.

You can modify the geometry of the line or polygon by clicking and dragging the vertices. Click Save to create the partial street record.
